    The AC withstand voltage test is conducted to check the insulation performance of electrical equipment by applying high voltage at the operating frequency. In the power system, such as transformer main withstand voltage test, AC withstand voltage test of power cables, insulation test of insulation equipment, etc., AC withstand voltage test can be conducted before power system debugging or regular inspection. So, what should be paid attention to when conducting AC withstand voltage test?  


    We should pay attention to the following matters during the withstand voltage test


    Before communicating the withstand voltage, the tested product should be wiped clean. If it is an oil filled device, letting the oil sit for a period of time to eliminate residual bubbles inside can effectively improve the pressure resistance value. At the same time, it is necessary to thoroughly check whether the grounding is missing or whether the grounding is good. Poor grounding can easily cause voltage rebound, affecting your safety during use.  


    When conducting AC withstand voltage tests, if the output voltage is manually controlled by technical equipment, such as test research transformer operation boxes, the voltage should slowly increase and decrease during output, and attention should be paid to starting from zero position, otherwise we cannot obtain an output voltage. If it is an automatic boosting equipment, such as a power frequency withstand voltage control box, different test voltages and overvoltage protection issues need to be set correctly and reasonably, and there are procedures and execution for other aspects.  


    During the boosting process, if the current rises sharply, stop and check. This may be due to a short circuit or similar short circuit in the subject, or it may be due to the testing capacity being too large.  


    If you use a generator as the input power source for student communication withstand voltage, be sure to confirm whether the working voltage is stable and whether the output data is within the input range to avoid damaging the testing and analysis instruments.  


    Capacitive current can easily cause a leakage voltage drop on the winding, resulting in a higher voltage ratio compared to the calculated voltage added to the main body. If measuring voltage, it should be done as close as possible to the testing end.
